The
Kidda Band
1
March 1978
The first
ever Kidda Band studio session happened on 1st March 1978. The
session recorded just two songs, Everybody Knows and No Nerve
which were destined to be the A and B sides of the bands first single.
The band now featured the most
regular line up with
Alan
Hammonds on Vocals, Kidder Hammonds on second vocals, Les
Rollason on bass guitar, Dave Lister on lead guitar, John Rollason on rhythm guitar and
Graham "Dick" Millington on drums.
The only
photos of the event (see left) were taken on Alans old Polaroid
camera - even this fact couldn't cover up Dave's poor attempt at
looking like he was doing something creative on the mixing desk. The
other shot shows Alan during the recording of the vocal track.
It is a
pity that the single didn't have someone who did know what they were
doing with a mixing desk as the band were highly critical of the results
achieved at this session. |
