Psycho Records 1978 - 1979 ?? Two pence label made up of reckless amateurs who managed to spoil the first single by the band. The bands first manager John Harris must take a lot of the blame for the mess this lot made of it at the time. The label never really existed and it was a plaything of some old bloke who wanted to be star himself - or so someone told me.... It should have been the start of something big..... |

Carrere Records 198? This French label had just broken into the English market with a number 1 by Clout - "Since you've been gone". The label also signed Saxon at the same time as the Kidda Band. Things worked out better for Saxon than they did for the Kidda Band that is for sure. |

Blue Chip - Cygnet Records Show 2 - 198?
This label was set up by ex Black Sabbath producer Rodger Bain (producer of Paranoid). The band released one single with the label before parting ways when it failed to make a break through. |

V.C. Records 198? V.C. Records was a side project of ex-Bridgehouse owner Terry Murphy. He agreed to put out one single of the band in 198? and pressed the record at his new record pressing plant - his new post Bridgehouse career. Terry had a couple of famous(ish) sons, Darren was a member of almost famous band Wasted Youth and Glen was a boxer turned actor who starred in British TV shows "Shine on Harvey Moon" and then "Londons Burning". His daughter Vanessa was famous for dating Alan for a while. |

Detour Records -
2001 - to date Back in 2000 we were approached by David "Dizzy" Holmes from Detour Records who had been trying to track the band for some time. "We first come across The Incredible Kidda Band when we heard of an extremely rare Power-Pop 7" that all the collectors were looking for. We tracked down a copy and it was everything that we had hoped for! Imagine all of them more ‘famous’ Power-Pop acts like The Jags, The Plimsouls, Big Star but with an edge of pure teenage angst! After many months of searching we managed to locate the members of the band and got them to search out all of their master tapes". Dizzy was therefore single handedly responsible for resurrecting the life of the band back in 2001 when the first album appeared. The album quickly Sold Out its initial pressing and plans are in hand for a second pressing sometime in 2005. If only Dizzy had been around in the 1970s, things could have been so different. |

1977 Records - 2002 Following the release of the album on Detour we were contacted by our good friend Nobutada "Nobu" Yaita and his colleagues at 1977 Records in Tokyo. After some discussion, 1977 Records re-released a number of Kidda Band and Kicks singles during 2002. We are pleased to say that they Sold Out quickly, just like the album. Details of the re-released singles can be found here. |
