The Kidda Band & The Radio
Stars
Aston University - 16
March 1979
Another one of those gigs
where the support band were far better than the main band. The Kidda
Band were truly excellent, playing rock very much a la Robinson and
Petty. They were tight, clear and not too loud.
And now - the Radio Stars.
Well what can I say – too loud, every track sounding the same, a pseudo
Rod Stewart lead singer, even “Dirty Pictures”, a track I particularly
like on vinyl, was an absolute mess.
I certainly encourage you to
see the Kidda Band at the earliest opportunity but the Radio
Stars, just avoid them like the plague.
